exceeding tex capacity

I have troubles with compiling the example.tex . It says

! TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [grouping levels=255].

for compiling with pdflatex

! TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [input stack size=5000]

for compiling with lualatex.
